School project “eradicating poverty in Ghanaian society through women empowerment”

 

On 7th August 2015 Saint Germain School and Young and Lonely Foundation (YLF) organised a beauty pageant for it children to inspire them and to encourage the children to exhibit their latent. The title for the beauty pageant was FACE OF SAGESCO on the theme “eradicating poverty in Ghanaian society through women empowerment’’. Sponsors for the occasion were Mr. Gilbert Germain – YLF, Linn Gerwin a German volunteer, St. Germain school complex, and other individuals. Ten vulnerable children were selected as contestant to compete for the crown and be named as the Miss SAGESCO. Basically, the children exhibit their talent to prove to all the audience and other schools, that without money good things can happened and life must always go on, since when you are happy and you have hope than you have a better tomorrow. Motivation speech was said by the Gilbert K Germain (Director for YLF), Mr. Samuel Owu (the Director for ST. Germain School complex and other dignitaries to invoke the academic spirit of the children, thus the cognitive domain, Affective domain and the psychomotor domain of the children. Also awards were given to the best student in each class, all the contestants, and every child who was present at the occasion. The overall awards were given to the first person who won the competition in person of Nana Ama and she is currently called Miss SAGESCO. We are appealing to you and the public to support us in our next beauty pageant and other educational activities to enable us upgrade their talents and skills to put more smiles on the faces of these vulnerable children, some of the items needed are, projector, Television set, video camera, voice recorder and many more.
