Educational days “global learning” in Germany

From 17.11.2014 until 21.11.2014 the Educational Days Global Learning were held in the Cultural Center Pavilion – a versatile workshow program for students from Hanover and the surrounding districts. Tim Pauls, One-World  promoter of the Ecumenical Center Oldenburg and project manager for Young and Lonely Foundation, offered the workshop “A Journey to Ghana” for grades 5-13 as part of the educational days.

Short description of the workshop

Do you have an idea of what boys or girls from Ghana are doing in their free time? What matters to them in life? Maybe you’ve thought about it before, maybe you ask these questions for the first time. We want to talk about it. Subsequently, we go on a short trip to the Saint Germain School in Ghana: We will look at videomessages recorded by schoolchildren from Saint Germain.
Because life is not just taking place in the classroom, the German students get the opportunity to get to know their counterparts from Ghana. We exchange e-mail addresses, and there is the chance to find new friends.

For teachers and freelance lecturers: In cooperation with the Verband Entwicklungpolitik Niedersachen e.V. Gilbert Germain and Tim Pauls have published the teaching material “Voll konkret”. If you want to offer this workshop at your school or insitution you can download the concept and teaching material by clicking the following button or by contacting Tim Pauls.
