Research training workshop at Agona Swedruon tracking MDG’s 4 and 5

 

On the same Wednesday 11th June 2014, Young and Lonely Foundation in partnership with ARHR organize a two (2) days research training workshop at Agona Swedru (Rich Guest House conference hall) from 11:30am to 7:00pm on tracking of health MDG’s 4 and 5 with 4 NGOs in four selected District in Ghana.
Participants were train through an adolescent and mother’s focus instrument which consist of;
A. Identification, background checks, objectives, scopes study, research tools, communication skills, data collection skills.
B. Health indicators, overview of community score card/introduction, focus group discussion panel, quality and access tracking matrix for a consolidated score card.
The training was successfully understood by the participant which brought about group study for day one.

In day two, participant were divided into two groups and went into two communities for pre-testing by using the adolescent and mother’s focus group instrument for collecting data and scorings. After, participant were brought back to meeting conference room for evaluation and proper assessment towards the research exercise which will commence for YLF in Agona East on the 20th to 24th June 2014.
The various participants departed to their various destinations that were the following below;

  1. YOUNG AND LONELY FOUNDATION – AGONA EAST (C/R)
  2. PEYOG – KEEA DISTRICT (C/R)
  3. FISTRAD- BUILSA DISTRICT (U/R)
  4. MISSION OF HOPE – BONGO DISTRICT (U/R)
